Covid today Abruzzo, 5,315 infections: bulletin 5 January

There are 5,315 coronavirus infections in Abruzzo today, 5 January 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Recorded 6 more deaths. The new cases, aged between 1 month and 100 years, bring the total from the beginning of the emergency to 124,093. Of today’s positives, 3,165 were identified through rapid antigen testing. 360 are healed. The currently positive in Abruzzo are 33,315 (+4,948 compared to yesterday). There are 226 patients (+10 compared to yesterday) hospitalized in the medical area; 24 (+1 compared to yesterday) in intensive care, while the other 33,065 (+4937 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL. In the last 24 hours, 14,258 molecular swabs were performed (1,759,426 in total since the start of the emergency) and 28,166 antigen tests (1,928,368). The total of molecular swabs also includes tests performed between 1 and 4 January last and not yet counted. The positivity rate, calculated on the sum of molecular swabs and antigen tests of the day, is equal to 12.52 percent.
