Positive in prison 804 inmates and 924 between agents and prison staff

There are 804 positive inmates (of which 22 new entries) out of a total of 53,142 inmates: 294 more than last week. The number of infected prison staff also rises: 876 agents out of 36,939, 349 more in the last seven days, and 48 out of 4,021 administrative and managerial staff and administration, 11 more in a week. These are the data on the Coronavirus management of the Department of Penitentiary Administration that Adnkronos has come into possession of. To hold the record of positive among the inmates, in the 91 prisons (out of 190 in total in Italy) where there are cases, is the prison house in Asti where there are 83 infected. Followed by Verona with 73, Opera with 68, the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere with 57 cases and that of Naples-Poggioreale (where in recent months the leaders of Forza Nuova Roberto Fiore and Giuliano Castellino, ed.) with 45 positives. However, the percentage of symptomatic patients is low: just 2.2% of the total which means 12 treated in prison (6 are instead hospitalized) out of 804. Slightly higher the rate of infected with symptoms among prison officers: 53 out of 876.
