Covid today Italy, 141,262 infections and 111 deaths: January 1st bulletin

There are 141,262 new coronavirus infections in Italy today, Saturday 1 January 2022, according to Covid data and numbers – region by region – of the Civil Protection bulletin and the Ministry of Health. There are another 111 deaths. The positivity rate rises to 13%. DATA OF THE LAZIO REGIONS – There are 12,345 new coronavirus infections in Lazio recorded in the bulletin today, January 1, 2022. In addition, another 6 deaths have been recorded. In Rome city the new cases are 6,752. From Monday the region will pass into the yellow zone. Compared to January 1 of last year, there are 1,598 fewer hospitalizations in the medical area, 152 fewer in intensive care, 8,870 fewer home blocks and 17 fewer deaths. As regards the vaccination campaign, yesterday 36,000 vaccines were administered and the administrations did not stop even during the night. 11 million total vaccine administrations exceeded and 2 million booster doses equal to 42% of the population CAMANIA – There are 13,888 new coronavirus infections today 1 January 2022 in Campania, according to data and numbers of the latest Covid-19 bulletin of the Region. There are 4 more deaths. The new cases of positivity emerged yesterday from the analysis of 132,821 tests. In today’s bulletin released by the crisis unit of the Campania Region, 4 new deaths are included, 3 of which occurred in the last 48 hours and one occurred previously, but recorded yesterday. In Campania there are 55 Covid patients hospitalized in intensive care (7 more than yesterday), 686 Covid patients hospitalized in hospital wards (+11 compared to the figure released yesterday) TUSCANY – 14,994 new infections registered in Tuscany according to today’s bulletin, January 1, 2022. There are also 4 other deaths. 66,723 tests carried out, of which 22,991 molecular swabs and 43,732 rapid tests. The rate of new positives is 22.47% (66.4% on first diagnoses). New cases are 3.9% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grow by 0.1% and reach 300,155 (75.7% of total cases) .VENETO – There are 14,270 new coronavirus infections in Veneto according to today’s bulletin, January 1, 2022. There are also another 12 deaths. Currently positive in the Region are 103,891, the total deaths since the beginning of the pandemic rises to 12,395.EMILIA ROMAGNA – There are 12,255 new coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna according to today’s bulletin, 1 January 2022. There are also another 15 deaths. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 549,175 cases of positivity have been recorded in the region, the total number of swabs performed in the last 24 hours is 51,575. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made is 23.7%, a value not indicative of the general trend given the number of swabs performed, which on holidays is lower than on other days and above all molecular swabs are made primarily on cases for which a positive result is often expected. Furthermore, 17,561 rapid antigenic tests have been carried out, from which 506 cases (2.88%) were detected. There are 15 patients admitted to intensive care units (1 less than yesterday). There are 142 patients hospitalized in the medical area (4 fewer than yesterday) while 8505 are cases of home isolation (675 more than yesterday). The death of an 88-year-old woman residing in the province of Oristano is recorded.
