Covid today Fvg, 2,331 infections and 12 deaths: January 1st bulletin

There are 2,331 new coronavirus infections in Friuli Venezia Giulia according to today’s bulletin, January 1, 2022. In addition, another 12 deaths have been recorded. On 9,401 molecular swabs, 1,825 new infections were detected, with a positivity rate of 19.41%. Furthermore, 17,561 rapid antigenic tests have been carried out, from which 506 cases (2.88%) were detected. This was announced by the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for Health Riccardo Riccardi. Today the deaths of 12 people are recorded: a 100-year-old woman from Trieste (who died in an RSA), a 99-year-old man from San Dorligo della Valle (who died in an RSA), a 91-year-old woman from Pordenone ( died in an RSA), an 89-year-old man from Azzano Decimo (who died in hospital), an 89-year-old woman from Trieste (who died in hospital), an 86-year-old woman from Porcia (who died in hospital), an 86-year-old woman years of Tolmezzo (who died in hospital), an 83-year-old man from Pordenone (who died in hospital), an 80-year-old man from Trieste (who died in hospital), a 79-year-old man from Vivaro (who died in hospital), a man 78-year-old from Meduno (who died in hospital) and, finally, a 71-year-old man from Spilimbergo (who died in hospital). 28 people hospitalized in intensive care remain and patients hospitalized in other wards drop to 275. 4,225, with the following territorial subdivision: 1,015 in Trieste, 2,080 in Udine, 784 in Pord enone and 346 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 140,011, the clinically healed 335, while the people in isolation are 13,545. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 158,419 people have been positive with the following territorial division: 38,237 in Trieste, 65,953 in Udine, 32,819 in Pordenone, 19,128 in Gorizia and 2,282 from outside the region. The total of positives was reduced by four units as a result of as many rapid tests not confirmed by molecular examination. The first age group for what concerns today’s infections is 20-29 (20.46%), followed by 0-19 (17.20), 30-39 (15.57), 50-59 (15.19%) and finally from 40-49 (15.06%). As regards the regional health system, the following positives were detected: in the Giuliano Isontina university health care unit of 3 administrators, 3 technicians, 3 nurses , 3 social health workers, an engineer and 2 midwives; in the Friuli Centrale University Healthcare Company of a care worker, 11 nurses, 2 administrators, a social worker, 2 doctors and 3 social health workers; in the Western Friuli health authority of a nurse, 2 doctors, a technician and two socio-health workers; in the Irccs Cro of Aviano of 2 technicians; in the maternal-child Irccs Burlo Garofolo of an administrative, a nurse and a midwife. Finally, with regard to residences for the elderly in Friuli Venezia Giulia, there are 10 infections among the operators (Pordenone, San Dorligo della Valle, Palmanova, Tarcento, Codroipo, Udine, Gemona del Friuli, Fagagna and Trieste) and one case among the guests ( Udine).
