In Anguillara ‘Put one evening for dinner … whitefish and silversides from Lake Bracciano’

The initiative “Put an evening at dinner … whitefish and silversides of Lake Bracciano” was born to promote the consumption of fish from Lake Bracciano, scheduled for 28 and 29 December in Anguillara, with the contribution of the Lazio-Arsial Region. Sabazia. The SAbae Cultural Association, active for 30 years in the lake area with cultural activities also with the management of its “Augusto Montori” Museum of Peasant Civilization and Popular Culture, intends with the two days to place the role of fishermen at the center of the discussion by profession on Lake Bracciano, a category at risk of extinction, and the enhancement of lake fish from every point of view. The two days will consist of a conference on 28 December at 10.30 on the theme “Fishing in Lake Bracciano between tradition and innovation” which will be attended by biologists, ecologists and experts in the sector and in a day of show cooking, during which, five starred chefs will promote their recipes based on fish from Lake Bracciano. The whitefish and the latterino are included as typical products of Lazio in the Arsial publication “Lazio agri-food heritage between biodiversity and tradition”.During the two days, participants will be given the “Il Lago in Tavola 2021” cookbook, created for the occasion by the Sabate Cultural Association as well as a fine print. In addition, participants will receive a voucher to collect for free at the Toto di Anguillara fish market in Piazza del Molo a kilo of fish including whitefish and silversides so that they can experiment with lake recipes in the kitchen at home. In support of the event, during the two days, the exhibition “Fishing: The images” will be held with works by the artists Roberta Denni, Donatello Minnucci, Sandra Mariotti, Giosiana Giuliani, Simone Camponeschi, Silvia Sasso, Nadia Festuccia, Giulia Fontana. Everything will take place at the Hotel Massimino in via Anguillarese km 4.200. The mayors of the territory, representatives of Arsial and administrators and councilors of the Lazio Region were invited to the event.
