Rome, 36 years old hit and killed on via Ostiense

A 36-year-old man died after being hit by a car in Rome, in via Ostiense. It happened around midnight. Patrols of the XII Monteverde Group of the Local Police of Roma Capitale intervened on the spot. The investor is a 53-year-old who stopped by to help out. From a first analysis it seems that the victim was crossing Via Ostiense, at the lido nord overpass, 100 meters after Via delle Azzorre, towards Rome Center. The driver of the vehicle, a Fiat Panda, immediately stopped for help. There was nothing to do for the 36-year-old, who was transported to the Grassi hospital where he later died. The driver was instead transported to the Biomedical Campus for the usual toxicological and alcoholic tests. Investigations are underway by the Local Police to trace the exact dynamics of the accident.
