Covid today Lombardy, record 16,044 infections: bulletin 24 December

There are 16,044 coronavirus infections in Lombardy today, 24 December 2021, according to the record numbers of the Civil Protection bulletin and the Ministry of Health on the region. Since yesterday, another 28 deaths have been registered, bringing the total number of victims to 34,887 since the beginning of the emergency. The current positives are 102,951 (+ 8,418) while those discharged / recovered are 910,417 (+ 7,598). Covid patients in hospital are 1,400 (-8), in intensive care they are 168 (+6). New cases were identified on 208,288 swabs, the positivity rate is 7.7%.
