Rome, the Iron Bridge reopens 70 days after the fire

The Ponte di Ferro reopened in Rome, the historic bridge on the border between the Marconi and Ostiense districts, severely damaged just over two months by a devastating fire. The reopening this morning was inaugurated by the mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri, together with the councilors for public works and infrastructures, Ornella Segalini, and for mobility, Eugenio Patanè, and the representatives of the two municipalities concerned. “I am really proud to return the Iron Bridge to the Romans after just 70 days, in record time. It is not only an essential hub for the mobility of this quadrant but also an important piece of history of our city”, he wrote in a Gualtieri tweet, posting some photos of the event.
