Covid today Emilia, 1,733 infections and 7 deaths: 11 December bulletin

There are 1,733 new coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna according to today’s bulletin, 11 December. Also recorded 7 other deaths. Since the start of the outbreak, there have been 472,613 positive cases in the region. 34,660 the total number of swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 5%. Meanwhile, the anti-Covid vaccination campaign continues, extended to all citizens over 12 years of age. At 2 pm a total of 7,739,089 doses were administered; out of the total, 3,574,970 people have completed the vaccination cycle. The third doses are 783,613. The control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 752 are asymptomatic identified as part of the regional contact tracing and screening activities. Overall, among the new positives 423 were already in isolation at the time of the swab execution, 497 were identified within already known foci. The median age of new positives today is 38.8 years. Of the 752 asymptomatic, 396 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 4 with serological screening, 90 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 8 through pre-hospitalization tests. An epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 254 cases. The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 400 new cases, followed by Reggio Emilia (289); then Ravenna (224) and Rimini (171). Then Parma (133), Ferrara (118) and Cesena (96). Followed by Forlì (94 cases), Modena (79) and Piacenza (66). Finally, the Imola district with 63 new cases. These are the data – ascertained at 12 noon today on the basis of institutional requests – relating to the progress of the epidemic in the region. In the last 24 hours, 23,146 molecular swabs were carried out, for a total of 6,830,816. In addition to these are 11,514 rapid antigen tests. As for the total number of people healed, they are 597 more than yesterday and reach 428,047. The active cases, that is the actual patients, are now 30,673 (+1129). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are a total of 29,657 (+1122), 96.7% of the total number of active cases. Unfortunately, there are 7 deaths: 2 in the province of Piacenza (both men aged 83 and 69), 3 in the province of Ravenna (2 men, aged 83 and 79, and a woman of 77), one in the Ferrara area (a 81-year-old man), one in the Forlì-Cesena province (a 79-year-old woman). In total, since the beginning of the epidemic, there have been 13,893 deaths in the region. 88 patients admitted to intensive care (as yesterday), 928 those in the other Covid departments (+7). On the territory, patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: none in Piacenza (-6 compared to yesterday); 2 in Parma (unchanged); 8 in Reggio Emilia (+3); 8 in Modena (unchanged); 25 in Bologna (+1); 5 in Imola (+1); 10 in Ferrara (+1); 16 in Ravenna (-2); 4 in Forlì (unchanged); 2 in Cesena (+1); 8 in Rimini (+1). These are the cases of positivity in the area since the beginning of the epidemic, which refer not to the province of residence, but to the one in which the diagnosis was made: 28,178 in Piacenza (+66 compared to yesterday, of which 40 symptomatic), 34,885 in Parma (+133, of which 54 symptomatic), 54,819 in Reggio Emilia (+289, of which 130 symptomatic), 77,806 in Modena (+79, of which 14 symptomatic), 98,865 a Bologna (+400, of which 217 symptomatic), 15,532 cases in Imola (+63, of which 36 symptomatic), 29,042 in Ferrara (+118, of which 49 symptomatic), 39,508 in Ravenna (+224, of which 178 symptomatic) , 22,197 in Forlì (+94, of which 84 symptomatic), 24,908 in Cesena (+96, of which 64 symptomatic) and 46,873 in Rimini (+171, of which 115 symptomatic). Compared to what was communicated in recent days, one case has been eliminated as it is judged not to be Covid-19.
