Messina, hospital waste disposal scam: 5 suspects

A scam on the disposal of special waste against a hospital in Messina was discovered by the Gdf which is investigating five people. The investigation has turned the spotlight on the collection, transport and disposal of special hospital waste at infectious risk produced by health authorities and hospitals in eastern Sicily. Water was added to the waste bins or staff climbed on the scales to increase the weight of the waste to be disposed of in order to obtain a greater reimbursement.
