Rome, found dead homeless

A homeless man was found dead yesterday evening around 10.20 pm in Piazza dei Cinquecento in Rome. The carabinieri of the Macao station and of the Roma Centro operational unit intervened on the spot after reporting a passer-by. The man, probably of North African origin, had no documents. The 118 staff could not help but ascertain the death: there were no signs of violence on the body, the death would be attributable to natural causes and it is not excluded that the cold could also have affected. The body was made available to the judicial authority and only a possible autopsy will actually shed light on the reasons for death.
