Poverty, refugees and displaced persons more than doubled

Refugees and displaced persons have more than doubled in 10 years, reaching a record figure of 82.4 million. This is what Caritas points out. The number of people in need of humanitarian aid has increased by 40%, equal to 235 million people involved. Institutional aid reaches more than 165 million people in 56 countries around the world but 75 million are left out.
