Istat, new negative record of births

The population decreases in all regions of Italy, especially in the South and on the islands. Istat underlines this with regard to the data from the ‘Population Census and demographic dynamics 2020’. “The new minimum record of births, 405 thousand, and the high number of deaths, 740 thousand”, also thanks to Covid, “aggravate the negative natural dynamic that characterizes our country”.
