Regeni returns to embrace Zaki in Laika’s work

The street artist: “Now even higher attention, Zaki must be cleared of all accusations, let’s not let our guard down. We’re almost there” Giulio Regeni hugs Patrick Zaki again, in a reworking of the iconic work of street artist Laika, on the the same wall where she first appeared in 2020. In the night between 7 and 8 December, in fact, the artist returned to Villa Ada, in Rome, near the entrance to the Egyptian embassy to post a new poster with the same protagonists. Zaki however this time no longer wears the prison uniform but is always protected by the embrace of Giulio Regeni who tells him: “We’re almost there”, and the student asks him to hold him again. two, then, the Arabic word “innocent” is depicted in yellow. “Patrick is not yet formally free but it is certainly a very important step forward – declared Laika – Now we have to keep our attention even higher. Zaki must be cleared of all charges and finally free. Let’s not let our guard down. We are almost there”.
