“A crew of ‘Non è l’Arena’ came to the clinic to interview me, but I wasn’t there … a journalist is looking for me by phone”. “Don’t answer if you want advice, they’ve come to me too.” It is the excerpt of a conversation via whatsapp that took place between Andrea Scanzi’s doctor, Roberto Romizi, and the health manager of the Usl of Arezzo Evaristo Giglio, who took care of getting the journalist of ‘Il Fatto’ the vaccination of the first dose of Astrazeneca inserting it in the reserve lists of the vaccination center of Arezzo. The two health workers, in an exchange acquired in the documents of the investigation (without suspects) initiated by the prosecutor of Arezzo and which the Adnkronos has read, exchange some observations on the fact that some journalists of the ‘Non è l”programme Arena ‘led by Massimo Giletti had put themselves’ on their trail’ to interview them. In particular, on March 26, 2021, following the media hype that arose after Scanzi’s vaccination, at 6.48 pm the general practitioner wrote to Giglio, informing him that the reporters of the troupe went to look for him in the clinic but without finding him, receiving from Giglio the ‘advice’ not to answer. On the same day, a little later, he wrote again to his colleague. “Now I’m in my house … having foreseen it, I didn’t get caught. But they are still here waiting ”, he complains. “Hold on … these beggars”, replies Giglio. Finally, on 7 April, he writes again to Giglio. “Today the people from ‘Non è l’Arena’ came back to look for me in the clinic – enter the health professional – I narrowly avoided them”. On April 19, the doctor in Scanzi returned to the subject with Giglio by sending him a link in which news of Massimo Giletti’s illness was given live during the broadcast ‘Non è l’Arena’ and commenting: “God exists … but little. ”In the case of the vaccine, Scanzi was asked to be archived by the deputy prosecutor Marco Dioni. In the request, the prosecutor noted among other things that “the interested parties were all heard and made available to the investigators the whatsapp messaging demonstrating the total absence of willful misconduct and the fact of having nothing to hide”. The hearing to oppose the request for filing is set for tomorrow, December 3, before the Gip of the court of Arezzo, Giulia Soldini.
