A movie about Omicron? Already done, more or less. It was shot almost 60 years ago. And it’s Italian. The new variant of the covid, which has risen to prominence all over the world, becomes a topic of discussion at 360 degrees. On Twitter, Indian industrialist Anand Mahindra launches the idea: “At some point in the future, I hope a thriller will be shot in which the covid variants are dark forces that are attacked by an Avenger, called Omicron, who does change the variants into a banal influence “. The script proposed to over 8 million followers seems to be appreciated, judging by the reactions and comments. A not inconsiderable detail: it is not an original idea, as Mahindra quickly discovers thanks to a friend who sends him a poster. The film Omicron has already existed for a long time: it was shot in 1963, under the direction of Ugo Gregoretti. The film, with the title that today appears to be nothing short of suggestive, was not about a pandemic: no anticipation of the current scenario, therefore. The protagonist was an alien, Omicron, who landed on Earth with human features to study the terrestrials and lead his race to conquer the planet.
