School, Righi high school collective: “co-management instead of occupation? It is not a form of protest”

“The Ludus Collective, for 26 years, is the only political list that moves in our high school and on the city and national scene. We have always followed a clear political line: we are anti-fascists, environmentalists, anti-racists, feminists and we defend public schools. Furthermore, the collective has never had any relationship with any political party “. This is how the Righi scientific high school collective replies to the Adnkronos interview of a candidate from the xmigliorare list on employment last week who adds: “The xmigliorare list is a space closed in on itself and hierarchical, unlike our collective, which it meets weekly with anyone who wants to participate and which also gives space to exponents of the other lists of the high school “. “The occupation was voted and approved (with 450 votes in favor, 104 against and the remaining abstentions) by an assembly, called after the request of the Ludus collective from all the lists of the Lyceum, which took place on zoom – to allow everyone and all to participate – and in which about seven hundred people took part (out of the 1400 high school students) – he continues – We would like to emphasize that xImproving to express himself in the assembly was only one person, when we immediately asked repeatedly to speak to those who did not agree with the protest act. All the others, in the order of ten, spoke with us about the collective in private without ever seeking confrontation in the assembly “.” As proof of the legitimacy of the protest , we just need to mention participation. The occupation involved more than 900 students of Righi. Unlike co-management (organized in the past by xMigliorare, really without looking for a comparison with the other lists) the courses do not n they had to go through a strict selection, made from the xMigliorare list, by the teaching staff and the school board, as they were presented by boys and girls whose only requirement was the desire to get involved. Furthermore, it must be specified that co-management is not a form of protest, which is essential in our opinion. We would then like to return to the topic of frontal teaching. In fact, we believe that it should be accompanied as soon as possible by an alternative teaching method, which includes the use of technology, laboratories, interactivity, and parallels with current events “.” It seems only right to underline – concludes the collective – that they are the only ones who have attempted to exploit the protest, in retrospect, were precisely the exponents of xmigliorare. We reiterate the coherence and the wonderful conduct of the protest, its wide participation and the great coverage of national and international media, further reiterating how much this was addressed to the Ministry and the Government, not to our management and our teaching staff. Now the only piece that is missing is listening to these institutions, with which we hope to get a discussion table, also, why not, together and with the help of the teachers and parents of our school “.
