Earthquake in the province of Catania

An earthquake of magnitude 2.8 was recorded by the seismographs of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology of Catania at 16.26 (Italian time) 5.5 km southwest of the town of Santa Maria di Licodia and at a depth of 1 km. The shock was also felt by the population in Biancavilla.
