Covid today Italy, hospitalizations on the rise: 3 Regions over the alert threshold

Covid hospitalizations are growing in Italy. The percentage of occupancy of beds in ‘non-critical area’ wards stands at 9%, with a growth trend in 7 Regions and an increase that exceeds the alert threshold of 15% in 3: Friuli Venezia Giulia ( 22%), Valle D’Aosta (18%) autonomous province of Bolzano. These are the data of the daily monitoring of the National Agency for Regional Health Services (Agenas) which also highlights a stable situation in intensive care, where the occupancy of beds, at national level, remains at 7%. In the ordinary wards the occupancy of bed places increases – by 1% – also in Campania (today at 9%) and in Abruzzo, the Autonomous Province of Trento and Veneto which amount to 8%. In intensive care, the trend is increasing in 4 regions: in Umbria (which reaches 11% with a jump of 3 percentage points) and, with a growth of 1%, in Lazio (10%), in the Autonomous Province of Trento (8%) and in Sardinia (7%). Basilicata goes against the trend, with an occupancy of 1% and a reduction of 2%.
