Pasinelli (DiaSorin Foundation): “Interest in science essential for becoming aware citizens”

“Scientific skills and interest in science, essential for becoming researchers but also citizens aware of the challenges that await us, are built at school, being able to experience the scientific method firsthand in the laboratories with their teachers. In these first 5 years of the project, 327 high schools from all over the country joined with enthusiasm. The DiaSorin Foundation is confident that it will be able to extend participation in the Mad for Science project to technical institutes starting from the next edition “. This was stated by Francesca Pasinelli, president of the DiaSorin Foundation and general manager of the Telethon Foundation, during the presentation of the “Mad for Science” project which took place this morning. “My passion for science – he added – was born in the laboratory and, although now I have a more managerial role, it remains. This is why I promoted the idea of ​​growing the passion in science by letting our students. The call is being shown, and this happens with Mad for Science. We want to give as many young people as possible the opportunity to understand a passion that perhaps is dormant because in their schools instead of a laboratory there is a science museum ” .
