Stadio Roma, illicit financing: A trial by Centemero, Bonifazi and De Vito

Giulio Centemero, a deputy of the League, Francesco Bonifazi, former treasurer of the Democratic Party, now enrolled in Italia Viva, and the former president of the Capitoline assembly, Marcello De Vito, go to trial in Rome. The gup of Rome Annalisa Marzano indicted 13 people in the context of the illicit financing linked to the investigation on the Roma stadium, including the entrepreneur Luca Parnasi. The first hearing is set for December 21 in front of the eighth section. In particular, in this line of investigation linked to the funding for the policy that would have started from the Pentapigna company of Parnasi, Centemero is accused of illicit financing: under the lens of the investigators there are 250 thousand euros disbursed between 2015 and 2016 in two tranches to the association Più Voci, association chaired by the deputy of the Northern League. In Centemero and Parnasi the prosecutor also disputes the crime of self-laundering for money transferred to ‘Radio Padania’. For the former treasurer of the Democratic Party, Bonifazi, the accusation is of illicit financing and issuing of invoices for non-existent operations: in this case the Prosecutor disputes 150 thousand euros received by the Eyu Foundation, chaired at the time by Bonifazi. In the proceedings, civil parties were formed among the other Campidoglio and the Lazio Region.
