Covid Emilia-Romagna, today 871 infections and 16 deaths: May 7 bulletin

There are 871 new coronavirus infections today May 7 in Emilia-Romagna, according to data from the latest bulletin. There are another 16 deaths. In detail, since the beginning of the epidemic in Emilia-Romagna there have been 374,498 positive cases, 871 more than yesterday, out of a total of 29,543 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 2.9%. This is what emerges from the regional bulletin. The average age of new positives today is 38.3 years. In total, there have been 12,992 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic. The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 197 new cases and Modena with 174; then Parma (109) and Reggio Emilia (103), then Forlì (69), Ravenna (58), Rimini (49) and Ferrara (45). Followed by Cesena, with 36 new cases, Piacenza (22) and finally the Imolese district (9). In the last 24 hours, 15,537 molecular swabs were performed, for a total of 4,503,688. In addition to these are 14,006 quick swabs. As for the total number of people healed, they are 729 more than yesterday and reach 321,870. The active cases, that is the actual patients, to date are 39,636 (+126 compared to yesterday). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are 38,025 (+185) overall, 95.9% of the total number of active cases. There are 195 patients admitted to intensive care (-9 compared to yesterday), 1,416 those in the other Covid departments (-50).
