Finzi (AstraRicerche): “For 60% of Italians, fighting violence against women must be a political priority”

There is a strong underestimation of the number of women who have suffered rape or attempted rape: it constitutes 5% of women between the ages of 16 and 70, while the majority of Italians think it is a small percentage, of 1%. A quarter of the respondents do not consider a man’s violence against a woman to be a violence if the latter, as they say, went to look for it in attitudes or clothing.
