Bad weather relentlessly, the cold returns on Thursday

A new and intense phase of bad weather is coming to Italy, which will also bring the cold with it. Stefano Ghetti, meteorologist of iLMeteo.it informs that today the pressure will begin to increase, recalling colder winds in the North and chasing the last rains in the Center-South. Wednesday the weather will be dry and mostly sunny, but the morning awakening in the North will be creepy: temperatures will in fact be close to zero even in the plains, with frosts in the peripheral areas of the big cities. And from the evening a disturbance will rapidly approach which will immediately hit Sardinia and then extend in the night to the Tyrrhenian sectors and in Liguria. It will be Thursday that the strongly disturbed front will hit all the regions, dispensing widespread showers and possible storms on Tuscany, Lazio, Campania, Sicily and Calabria. Local formations of tornadoes and seas cannot be excluded. In addition, colder air will begin to arrive at high altitudes which will bring down not only temperatures, but also the snow level which will fall on the Alps up to 1000/1300 meters and 1600 meters on the Apennines. But that’s not all, Friday and over the weekend other disturbed impulses fed by cold air arriving from the North Pole and driven by stormy Libeccio winds will cause a new wave of bad weather with the snow that will drop again in the Alps and this time also in the Apennines. . Today Tuesday 23 November – In the north: bad weather in western Piedmont (snow at 1000m), sun elsewhere. In the center: rains on Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, southern Marche, occasional in Sardinia. South: unstable at times. Wednesday 24 November – In the north: dry and often sunny. Middle: dry, but with a lot of clouds. In the evening it gets worse in Sardinia. South: largely dry. Thursday 25 November – In the north: gradually rainy everywhere. Snow in the Alps at 1000-1200m. Center: bad weather in the peninsular regions, storms in Lazio, better in Sardinia. In the south: it worsens strongly, danger of storms on Sicily and Calabria. From Friday increasingly cold with snow at lower altitudes.
