Healthcare, Plebani (UniPd): “Fundamental digitization for doctor and patient”

“Digitization in health systems plays a fundamental role in overcoming the fragmentation of information that must reach doctors but also citizens to better manage their health. There is a great need to integrate the various diagnostic information that comes from both laboratory medicine and diagnostic imaging with clinical information, so that it is possible to initiate personalized medicine, targeted therapy on the person and, globally, a better state of health with a sustainable health system “. Thus Mario Plebani President of the European Federation of Laboratory Medicine and Full Professor of Clinical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Padua, speaking this morning at the conference “Accelerate Digital Health”, promoted and organized by Dedalus in partnership with The G20 Health & development partnership. The aim of the meeting, which was held in Rome, is to create a dialogue between public and private that favors the digitization of health systems, regional and national, starting from the centrality of clinical data. According to Plebani, digitization “has not only managed to improve many administrative processes, but what we need to do is allow all citizens and doctors to access digital information.
