‘Army calendar 2022’, the all-round commitment of the military in 12 months

These are just some of the many faces of the Army, whose 360-degree commitment is recounted in the ‘Army Calendar 2022’ entitled “Your defense is our mission”. The ‘Calendar Army 2022’ was presented in the Central Military Library of Palazzo Esercito in Rome. “The role of the Armed Force – said General Pietro Serino, Chief of Staff of the Army – is to be ready to respond to calls from the country whatever the threat that must be faced”. “The factors that allow and have allowed the Army and other Armed Forces to respond to the needs of the country in the pandemic are combat capacity, logistical capacity and autonomy” but also the widespread presence of the territory from North to South. : “We are the reassuring face of the state”. “For us the calendar, and even more this, is meant to be a way to tell the Italians about ourselves”, continued General Serino. Undersecretary of Defense Giorgio Mule ‘underlined: “The calendar is a symbol, it is a flag. The fundamental word in this calendar is competences, converge on the same point and aim at a common goal. The protection of security, of the State. and of the citizens declined with the motto ‘your defense our mission’ passes from hard training work “. The calendar, which sees Leonardo as sponsor, this year has an innovative layout, a photographic version with the inclusion of ad hoc drawings. The presentation of the calendar was an opportunity to remember that the commitment of the Armed Force against the Covid continues. “I read that there is talk of reactivating some vaccination hubs that we had deployed and which are currently dormant: obviously we will continue to do so with the same passion as we have up to now”, said General Serino assuring that the commitment against the pandemic “will continue according to the requests”. The Army Chief of Staff then expressed “immense gratitude from the Armed Force towards its doctors and health personnel”. General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, extraordinary commissioner for the Covid emergency, “is contributing, with his serenity , to convey a beautiful image of the Italian Army “, General Serino then observed. “The first thing those who don’t know me ask me when I tell them that the Army Chief of Staff is in front of me – he said – is if I know Figliuolo and this thing fills me with satisfaction, I don’t say it because there is a great friendship and we have known each other for 40 years “. “Son is our image at the moment, he is our front line – continued Gen.
