Catricalà, tomorrow at the Elysée an event to remember him

Tribute to Antonio Catricalà tomorrow night at the Eliseo Theater in Rome. In front of family, friends and authorities, the theatrical performances of the Calabrian magistrate, former president of the Competition and Market Authority and former undersecretary to the Prime Minister who died last February, will be retraced. On the tables of the stages, including that of the Eliseo Theater, Catricalà has in fact held the role of defense lawyer in the various editions of the only theatrical format that places history and politics at the center of the scene, transforming theaters into courtrooms. “Antonio left an unbridgeable emptiness inside me, I feel him as if he were still alive, he was part of my family. A strong and deep, long-standing friendship bound me to him”: this is how his long-time friend Giuseppe Marra remembers , publisher of Adnkronos, which personal reasons prevent from being present at the event. To organize the evening, with the sharing of the Catricalà family, Elisa Greco, author and curator of the format La Storia a Processo. “I was well aware of Antonio’s curiosity and availability – says Elisa Greco – so in elaborating the various editions of the format I consulted him in preview to leave him the choice of the character to defend. Antonio documented and prepared himself with meticulousness and accuracy, his interventions and his speeches were always conducted between ironic and juridical rigor. He was very skilled in alternating, amid the applause of the audience, jokes and arguments on the point of law “. Conducting Tribute to Antonio Catricalà will be Elisa Greco and Gianni Letta, who will comment on the verdict of each “Trial”, while the protagonists of the “cast” will be entrusted with the memory of the trial and the show.
