Borsellino, Supreme Court: “Mafia massacre even if gray areas”

“The massacre in via d’Amelio undoubtedly represents a tragic crime of the mafia, due to a very specific strategy of terror adopted by the Cosa Nostra” even if there are “gray areas”. This is what the judges of the Fifth Criminal Section of the Cassation write in the reasons for the sentence of the ‘Borsellino quater’ trial which last October 5 confirmed the life sentences for the Palermo bosses Salvatore Madonia and Vittorio Tutino, as well as condemning false slander collaborators of justice.
