Yellow alert tomorrow in five regions for bad weather that from the early hours, accompanied by rains and thunderstorms, will move to part of the central peninsular regions, particularly affecting those on the eastern side. On the basis of the available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection in agreement with the regions involved – which are responsible for activating the civil protection systems in the territories concerned – has issued a warning of adverse weather conditions. The weather phenomena, impacting on the different areas of the country, could determine hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities which are reported, in a national summary, in the national criticality and alert bulletin which can be consulted on the Department’s website (www.protezionecivile.gov.it). The notice provides from early afternoon today, Saturday 5 June, scattered rainfall, also of a downpour or thunderstorm, on Piedmont, Lombardy and Veneto, in extension from the early hours of tomorrow, Sunday 6 June, in Emilia-Romagna and Marche . The phenomena will be accompanied by showers of strong intensity, electrical activity and strong gusts of wind. On the basis of the expected and ongoing phenomena, a yellow alert was assessed for tomorrow, Sunday 6 June, on most of Veneto, on some sectors of Emilia-Romagna, Abruzzo and on the entire territory of Marche and Umbria.
