“It is foreseeable that the number of Covid cases among the under 19s will increase, because that between the ages of 12 and 19 is a disastrous situation: it is the age group with the least vaccinated of all, both in absolute value and percentage, and in every school class we have an average of 7 unvaccinated pupils who represent a risk for the entire group of peers “. This is the alarm raised by the pediatrician Italo Farnetani, who returns to ask to “create mobile points to carry out vaccinations at school”. Not only for students, but also “because – reminds the doctor at Adnkronos Salute – teachers must be vaccinated with the third dose”. “So – insists Farnetani – we create vaccination points in schools, within the working hours for teachers or school hours for pupils who have parental authorization, and we carry out the vaccinations. We must not wait for them to be pupils, professors or school staff to go and get vaccinated – says the pediatrician – but it is the vaccination facility that has to move away from them. Farnetani points out – it is 27.75% who did not receive any dose. With 7 unvaccinated pupils per class, according to the latest ministerial guidelines, it is very easy for a class to end up in quarantine, therefore the spectrum of Dad is behind the corner”. Thus, with these percentages of unvaccinated, the pediatrician warns, “the damage will also happen to those who have been immunized. Just think that with 3 positives in the classroom, quarantine is triggered”.
