Italy in the grip of bad weather at least until the weekend 6-7 November. Cyclone Poppea brings the true autumn to Italy, from Wednesday and at least until next weekend we will have to deal with rains, thunderstorms and even heavy snowfalls along the Alpine sectors. Stefano Ghetti, meteorologist of the site iLMeteo.it announces that after a largely dry and sunny Tuesday, from tomorrow Wednesday 3 November Italy will be reached by colder air from Northern Europe which will give rise to a cyclone near the Ligurian Sea . The weather will tend to worsen dramatically from Sardinia to Tuscany and Lazio, where local storms are expected, to then affect the North with increasingly widespread and abundant rainfall. Along the Alpine and Pre-Alpine sectors, the snow will return abundantly, with flakes that can fall below 1500 meters close to the Alpine borders. However, cyclone Poppea will not leave our country so easily: after a highly unstable Thursday in the morning, especially in the North and in the Tyrrhenian Center, from Friday the weather will worsen again on Sardinia, with local storms, which will later affect the central peninsular regions and the South over the weekend. Today Tuesday 2 November – in the North, local rains in the Northeast, drier and sunnier elsewhere. In the Center: some rains over Tuscany, the sun prevailing elsewhere. In the South: more clouds over Calabria and hills of Campania, good weather elsewhere. Tomorrow Wednesday 3 November – in the North, local storms on the Veneto, scattered rains on the remaining regions. Snow in the Alps above 1400 meters. in the Center: heavy rainfall on Tuscany and Lazio, with the risk of storms. Rains on Sardinia. In the South, heavy rains on Campania, some rains on Puglia and Basilicata. Thursday 4 November – in the north, residual rain showers between Veneto and Friuli, sun elsewhere. In the Center: rains alternating with bright spells over Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio. In the South: weak rains on Campania, all sun in the rest of the regions.
