Yellow, orange and red zone. Rules on travel, restaurants, schools, bars. While the debate on the curfew continues – currently set at 10pm – today comes the verdict on the regions that can change color. From Lombardy to Veneto, from Campania to Sicily, from Lazio to Puglia, the data of the covid monitoring and then the possible order of the minister Roberto Speranza are expected. We start from a map in which almost all regions are yellow, with free travel and restaurants open for lunch and dinner with customers outdoors. Here is the map: Red zone: Valle d’Aosta. Orange zone: Sardinia, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily. Yellow zone: Abruzzo, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Molise, Piedmont, Tuscany, Umbria, Veneto, autonomous provinces of Bolzano and Trento. “Our situation is always better, gradually but constantly the numbers improve, so I am convinced that the yellow zone will be confirmed”, he tells Sky Tg24. In Lazio, the councilor for health Alessio D’Amato observes, “hospital occupancy rates are within the threshold, the incidence decreases to 123 per 100 thousand inhabitants”. Some elements of apprehension in Veneto, which has an Rt index “one step away” from the orange zone. “The Veneto currently has an Rt of 0.95, one step away from the orange band”, explained the councilor for health, Manuela Lanzarin. “It is a fact that worries us and should worry us,” he added. “The numbers relating to the incidence are decidedly better – he underlined – instead: 97 positive per 100 thousand inhabitants, and hospital occupancy, equal to 15% both for intensive care and for non-critical areas”. Valle d’Aosta, currently the only region in the red zone with more restrictive measures and prohibitions, it aims to go up in the orange band, with less rigid rules. In the intermediate area, Puglia and Sardinia may not remain, aspiring to climb into the yellow zone. Puglia was aiming for yellow a week ago. Sardinia, which fell into the red zone from the white zone occupied at the beginning of March, aims to complete the ascent. “The permanence of Sardinia in the orange zone – says the president of the Region, Christian Solinas – would be paradoxical in the light of the data recorded in recent weeks”. The provisional report, sent by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità to the Regions and awaiting validation by the control room, confirms that from 26 April to 2 May the Rt contagion index of Sardinia is 0.74, in further decline compared to 0.81 recorded in the previous week.
