These unspeakable violence (rapes, murders, robberies, raids, etc.), which went down in history with the term “Moroccan”, began in July 1943 in Sicily, continued in Campania and Lazio where they reached peaks of extreme ferocity in the provinces of Frosinone and Latina, were also carried out in Tuscany and they stopped at the gates of Florence. “The National Association of Victims of Moroccan Women, which I have the honor of presiding – continues Ciotti – works to make known this national tragedy, kept in silence for too many years.
