Indian variant, Italy extends the ban on entry from India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh

The ordinance that establishes the ban on entry into Italy from India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh has been extended, with the exception of Italian citizens. While Covid in India in the last 24 hours causes almost 4 thousand deaths and attention is kept high on the Indian variant, the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, has extended to May 30 the ordinance that establishes the ban on entry from India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh except for Italian citizens. Meanwhile, today the Indian Ministry of Health announced that the new Coronavirus infections in the country in the last 24 hours were 412,262 and the deaths from Covid 3,980. The new infections lead to 21,077,410 positives since the beginning of the pandemic and to 230,168 the victims of Covid-19 in the Indian country.
