Archbishop of Naples to priests no vax: “Swab before serving”

The “no vax” priests who do not intend to be vaccinated against Covid-19 should undergo a nasopharyngeal swab if “they still intend to carry out their service in favor of the People of God”. This is what is requested by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Naples, Monsignor Domenico Battaglia, who yesterday sent a note to “priests and deacons, extraordinary ministers of Communion and pastoral workers all” of the Neapolitan Archdiocese. In the letter, Fr Battaglia recalls that “the state of emergency, extended by the Italian Government until 31 December 2021 due to the well-known pandemic in progress, requires everyone, especially those who for various reasons find themselves in contact with people of different age and health condition, the adoption of responsible and generous behavior “.
