Naples, 3.8 tons of cigarettes seized

Six people arrested, 3.8 tons of contraband cigarettes seized for a value of about half a million euros, a warehouse and seven vehicles. This is the balance sheet of an anti-smuggling operation carried out by the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples. The inspection allowed the financiers to discover that 50 crates of smuggled cigarettes had been hidden under an ingenious “cover” made up of iron rods and refracting mirrors.
