Italy again this week in dark red, in the range of greatest Covid risk, according to the latest update of the color map of the ECDC (European Center for Disease Prevention and Control), which is processed on the basis of the new cases registered in the last 14 days per 100 thousand inhabitants and the positive rate between the tests carried out, weighted by the vaccination rate of the population. Again this week none of the areas are colored green, while the only yellow areas are a part of Ireland, one of Denmark and Latvia. There are many gray areas, a color that indicates an insufficient test level to determine the stratification of Covid risk. Dark red persists in many areas of the EU, although it appears to be in retreat: in addition to the Italian peninsula, Portugal, Luxembourg, a large part of France, Spain and Finland, and some regions of Austria and Greece are of this color. The light red grows, which colors some areas of Spain, France, Austria and Greece, the whole of Belgium, Iceland, Slovenia, Estonia, parts of Croatia and Ireland. In gray parts of Spain, Croatia and Finland and entire countries: Sweden, Norway, Lithuania, the Netherlands and the entire Eastern block. For Germany, there are still “insufficient data available” for the purposes of the map.
