At the start ‘Game of Talents’, the new show with Alessandro Borghese, Mara Maionchi and Frank Matano

Alessandro Borghese takes off the role of the chef to wear the unpublished ones of the all-round conductor, becoming the protagonist of a format that lands for the first time in Italy after having made its debut in Spain in 2019 and having traveled the world. At his side, Mara Maionchi and Frank Matano, an established couple behind the table of Italia’s Got Talent, capable of grasping and enhancing talent in all its forms. It is the cast of Game of Talents, the new TV8 prime time show in which guessing game and ‘talent’ come together, in a crescendo of tension and fun. Six episodes produced by Fremantle in world premiere TV, starting tomorrow, every Tuesday in prime time on TV8. “I had a lot of fun, thanks to Mara and Frank. In transmission we have the menu of talents and the plateau of spheres, small ‘gastronomic memories’ ”, says Borghese, looking for some support from his new management to his true profession as a cook. Immediately after he talks about Mara Maionchi and Frank Matano, who on the show play the role of the captains of the two teams in challenge: “Both Mara and Frank are super competitive and difficult to manage. They tease each other, amusing and entertaining the audience, while trying to help the competitors ”, who challenge each other to guess, before they perform on stage, the talents of ten ‘hidden talents’, or ten mysterious as well as extraordinary performers. For each correct answer, the team at hand will earn a sum of money which will form a personal prize pool. For each wrong answer, however, the sum will go into the opponent’s prize pool. “It takes courage to go from cooking broadcasts to this talent – continues Borghese – but I have a team, in addition to Mara and Frank who accompanied me on this adventure, I had fun and in the future we could face others. People want to be light and to share a product like this with the whole family. Today we need to have fun. And by doing this job, as well as that of a cook, thanks also to my family, I can keep fit ”. Maionchi, ‘at the beginning I didn’t get it right, I didn’t think Alessandro was that good’ “I had fun and Frank helped me”, Mara Maionchi declares, admitting that “at the beginning I didn’t get one right. I did not believe – ironically – that Alessandro was so good. And the game is beautiful, the more you play it the more you are passionate about it, there is always something that catches you. Talent – he adds – is a type of program that does not bore me, in which I participate with a great desire to understand. Besides, supporting others makes me very happy. My personal talent? I don’t know, but maybe I’d be a millionaire. In any case, between competitor or judge, I would prefer to be a competitor, I would have no responsibility “. “Mara and I are like schoolmates on a trip or students sitting at the last bench – says Frank Matano – We had a lot of fun together and Alessandro cooked me a Neapolitan-style pasta and potatoes that you can’t imagine. Mara’s talent? Perhaps it is to be able to see through the spheres, and he has probably also seen us naked. I keep fit by taking the stairs several times a day – he adds – since I have to go home often to pick up the things I forget. But the talent I would really like to possess is Alessandro’s taste buds, who tastes and feels things while cooking. And finally his look, so on: Alessandro naked is the food, dressed is the dish ”. “It is the first program of this type for Alessandro – says Antonella d’Errico, Evp Programming Sky – His is the most loved face and we have decided to launch this new show on a channel like TV8 which is very focused on entertainment and which has a large youth audience. Mara and Frank are beloved faces of Sky, putting them together, each with its own particularities, triggers a mechanism of great participation at home towards a show that is the result of the work of many professionals and professionals “. “Let’s start with a bang – says Daniele Ottier, FTA senior director with enthusiasm – with an identity entertainment show for the channel. Matano and Maionchi are two talents and two faces of the channel, friends, but everyone is cheering on their competitor and this gives rise to really funny moments “. “The format is a success in other countries and we are happy that Alessandro has left his comfort zone in restaurants to accept this management”, says Gabriele Immirzi, CEO of Fremantle. While for his part, the Chief Content Officer Fremantle Eugenio Bonacci points out that, even if the evening is difficult, Game of Talents is the right program for Tv8, 2 hours in which two competitors will compete among many surprises, with a prize that the same Mara, passionate as she is, seemed to want to win ”.
