Expo Dubai, Mariotto: “David censorship, hypocritical but understandable choice”

“The censorship of Michelangelo’s David in Dubai seems to me a hypocritical, but understandable choice. In my opinion it is a form of respect for morality, of unshakable precepts. Nudity in the Arab world is a taboo, a mix between culture and religion”. This is what the designer Guillermo Mariotto, who dresses many ladies of Dubai, told Adnkronos, commenting on the choice to exhibit Michelangelo’s great masterpiece at the Dubai Expo in part ‘censored’ in some parts of the body.
