Libero De Rienzo died of a heroin overdose

The actor Libero De Rienzo died of a heroin overdose, found lifeless in his home in the Madonna del Riposo area in Rome on 15 July. This is what emerged from the results of the autopsy and toxicological tests ordered by the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office carried out at the Gemelli Polyclinic. The death is attributable to a “cardiorespiratory arrest due to acute fatal heroin poisoning”. The tests also revealed traces of cocaine and benzodiazepines, which however are not the cause of death. The prosecutor of Rome has meanwhile closed the investigation into the actor’s death. The prosecutor Francesco Minisci, owner of the file, in the notice of conclusion of the investigations, an act that usually preludes the request for indictment notified to the 32-year-old Gambian Mustafa Minte Lamin, disputes the charges of detention, sale of drugs and death as a consequence of another crime. The man, currently in prison, is accused of having sold drugs in addition to the actor to 5 other people. The crime of death as a consequence of another crime is contested in the light of the link that emerged between the transfer of heroin and the death of the plaintiff.
