A mix of new technologies and sacred iconography, a combination of ancient and modern to tell the life of St. Peter with a videomapping that will be projected for the first time on the facade of the Basilica transformed, for the occasion, into an exceptional screen. Tomorrow, at 8 pm, the opening night of videomapping ‘Follow me. The life of Pietro ‘, but the projections will go on until October 16th included. From 3 October they will take place every evening, from 21.00 to 23.00, and will last about 8 minutes. Technology will help to enhance the images and masterpieces of the likes of Raphael, Perugino, Reni and Cavallucci, in harmony with sounds and words to tell the salient moments of the life of the Fisherman of Galilee in a unique way. Special guest for the premiere of the event, Andrea Bocelli who will participate with a musical tribute. On stage also Flavio Insinna, narrator, while the evening will be presented by Milly Carlucci. It is a piece of a pastoral path to accompany the visit to the Basilica and the pilgrimage to the Tomb of Peter in which the Chapter of St. Peter, the Parish of St. Peter, the Fabbrica di San Pietro and the Fratelli tutti Foundation will cooperate. “It will be the first stop in a series of itineraries of art and faith”, explained the archpriest of St. Peter’s Basilica, Cardinal Mauro Gambetti in recent days.
