American actress Mary Mara, known for roles in “ER – Frontline Doctors”, “Criminal Minds”, “Ray Donovan” and “Law & Order”, has died at the age of 61. New York state police officials, as reported by “The Hollywood Reporter”, stated that Mara’s body was discovered in the St. Lawrence River in Cape Vincent on the morning of Sunday 26 June. Preliminary investigation suggests the actress drowned while she was swimming. According to the police report, there are no signs of violence on the body, which was transported to the Jefferson County coroner’s office where the autopsy will determine the official cause of her death. Mary Mara has starred in dozens of telefilms and in numerous films, debuting in the 1989 TV-movie “Murder in Central Park”. On the big screen she starred among others in “Mr. Saturday Night”, “Desire for Revenge”, ” Corridors of Power “, Together for Strength”, “Blue Steel – Deadly Target”, “Love Potion”. The actress was a popular face on the small screen, as an interpreter of many popular TV series. She appeared in ” ER – Doctors on the front line “as Loretta Sweet;” Nash Bridges “as Inspector Bryn Carson;” New York Police Department “;” Law & Order – The Two Faces of Justice “;” The Practice – Lawyers Profession ” ; “Judge Amy”; “West Wing – All the President’s Men”; “Emergency Squad”; “Enterprise”; “Law & Order: Special Unit”. Mara’s last screen appearance was in the movie “Break Even “of 2020.
