Libero De Rienzo death, file open: autopsy ordered

A file has been opened in piazzale Clodio on the death of the actor Libero De Rienzo, found lifeless in his house in the Madonna del Riposo area in Rome. According to what is learned, the prosecutor has ordered an autopsy which will have to ascertain the causes of death. The Neapolitan actor was 44 years old. A friend sounded the alarm. He was married to costume designer Marcella Mosca, with whom he had two children aged 6 and 2.De Rienzo began his career following in the footsteps of his father Fiore De Rienzo, Citto Maselli’s assistant director and has linked his name to interpretation by the journalist Giancarlo Siani in the film ‘Fortapàsc’ by Marco Risi in 2009. During his career he was the protagonist in 2004 in ‘A / R Andata + Return’ together with Vanessa Incontrada. Film, the latter, in which Kabir Bedi and Remo Girone also took part. He was also a screenwriter, director and actor in ‘Blood – Death does not exist’, with which he obtained some film awards, including the Ciak d’oro in 2007. There are many films in which De Rienzo took part including ‘Kryptonite in the bag’, a 2011 film directed by Ivan Cotroneo on his directorial debut, Sydney Sibilia’s 2014 ‘I stop when I want’, followed in 2017 by ‘I stop when I want – Ad honorem’ with Luigi Lo Cascio. Also in 2017 dates back to ‘The family home’, a film directed by Augusto Fornari, a film in which De Rienzo starred together with Lino Guanciale and Stefano Fresi. In 2019 De Rienzo was in the cast of ‘A Tor Bella Monaca never rains’ while in 2020 for the actor it was the year of ‘The Pantani case – The murder of a champion’, a film directed by Domenico Ciolfi starring among others by Francesco Pannofino.
