A tribute to the jazz legend Gato Barbieri, the late Argentine saxophonist. A cd of eleven original songs including free, contemporary jazz and latin jazz. Alongside the Umbrian pianist and composer, five international jazz stars: James Brandon Lewis on tenor sax, Gianluca Petrella on trombone, Brandon Lopez on double bass, Chad Taylor on drums and Francisco Mela on drums and percussion. Giovanni Guidi, from Thursday 15 July, will tread the stages around Italy and Europe where he will present his new recording chapter, sharing the scene with James Brandon Lewis on tenor sax, Gianluca Petrella on trombone, Brandon Lopez on double bass , Chad Taylor on drums and Simone Padovani on drums and percussion. It will start on 15 July from Trento, and then continue on 16 in Fiesole, 17 in Rome, 18 in Alghero, 19 in Olbia, 24 July in San Sebastian, 25 in Alba, 26 in Fano and 27 in Mallorca. A rich tour in which the spirit of Gato Barbieri will linger, elevated by the notes of Giovanni Guidi and his training.
