Matera and its unique setting in the world, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will host the first edition of the Audio-Visual Producers Summit from 7 to 10 July. Already European Capital of Culture, the city will thus be the setting for the new flagship event of the Italian and international audiovisual industry, which for four days will host Top players in the sector from all over the world, protagonists of a varied program of keynotes and panels. world-class focused on making series and movies for TV, digital platforms and the global scripted production market. Not only this, however, will be discussed in Matera, a location that is not accidental since it was also chosen to shoot highly successful films such as’ The Passion ‘,’ Ben Hur ‘,’ Wonder Woman ‘,’ The Last Planet ‘,’ Maria Maddalena ‘and’ 007 No Time to Die ‘. Not surprisingly, the Summit will be inaugurated on 7 July by the “Forum of Lucanian cinema”: this important opportunity for dialogue was conceived and created by the Lucana Film Commission, to collect the requests of the operators and mediate with the institutions present, to addressing the needs of local businesses. The session moderated by the President of the Lucana Film Commission Roberto Stabile will see the participation of the Undersecretary of Culture Lucia Borgonzoni, the Director of the Cinema and Audiovisual Directorate of the MiC Nicola Borrelli and the President of the Basilicata Region Vito Bardi. The event, organized by the Lucana Film Commission for APA-Audiovisual Producers Association, will see the involvement of PGA – Producers Guild of America, which has about 7,000 members among film and television producers, among which the most important names in Hollywood stand out. The prestigious collaboration has facilitated the participation of numerous personalities from the North American industry, to discuss the evolution of the sector and its professions, and to elaborate new strategies for the future. of the prestigious Maximo Awards ceremony, (on July 9th). The Prize Jury that will decide the winners of the competing categories is made up of Matteo Levi, Maria Pia Calzone, Barbara Cappi and Stefano Sardo.
