The ‘Ostia Antica Festival’ will be held at the Roman Theater from 2 July to 19 September. The packed program of events will be inaugurated by Europa Incanto Orchestra the Symphony n. 5 in C minor Op. 67 by Ludwig van Beethoven and will be closed by Andrea Pennacchi. Between the opening and closing of the curtain, various theatrical and musical proposals and more: from the ‘Supermagic’ of 8, 9 and 10 July to the ‘Grande cinema in concert’ of the 16th, from ‘Lucio + Lucio’ homage to Dalla and Battisti on 21st to the tribute to Barry White on 22nd and Franco Califano on 24th July, to close the month with performances on 30th by Antonio Giuliani and 31st by Max Giusti. In August, among the most anticipated appointments undoubtedly ‘The fall of Troy’ with Massimo Popolizio on the first of the month, the feminine ‘Carmina Burana’ by Carl Orff on the 5th, the evening event of the 8th dedicated to Pino Daniele. While September opens on the 3rd with Riccardo Rossi and his ‘W le donne’ to continue on the 4th with the homage to Bob Dylan, on the 8th with the piece ‘What a couple we three’ and the trio formed by Francesco Paolantoni, Biagio Izzo and Stefano De Martino, on the 9th with the tribute to Led Zeppelin, on the 12th and 13th with Valerio Lundini and ‘The mansplaining explained to my daughter’ and on the 17th with the couple Lillo & Greg and their ‘Best Of’, before ideally close the curtain on September 19 with ‘Pojana and his brothers’ and Andrea Pennacchi. “The Roman Theater of Ostia Antica returns to dispense music and joy – announces Alessandro D’Alessio, director of the Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica – The summer season 2021 presents an exceptional program, which thanks to the variety of genres and the presence of established artists guarantees satisfaction for any spectator.
