‘Time 2 Rap Festival’, at Villa Ada rap meets metal

‘Time 2 Rap Festival’, the first live event signed by Time 2 Rap Records in collaboration with Radar Concerti, will start on 3 July. The newly formed Roman label dedicated to hardcore rap and extreme contaminations between metal and hip-hop, presents the artists of its roster to the public of Villa Ada who will present their respective latest works live. Metal Carter, a veteran of the national hip-hop scene and former founding member of TruceKlan and TruceBoys, will take the stage to present the songs from the latest album ‘Fresh Kill’. His style is distinguished by extreme sounds combined with lyrics that deal with themes such as violence, street life and social redemption. His imagery refers to the atmosphere of gore films populated with monsters, skeletons and lots of blood. Chef Ragoo, another spearhead of underground rap, has recently released the album ‘Novecento’, which summarizes the strong punk approach of the Roman MC. Hers is a narrative path that starts from the interruption of a relationship, projects the artist into memories of the past, happy or traumatic. This analysis leads him to think about the passing of time and the inevitability of the sense of defeat, to the point of considering a possible ‘way out’. Suarez is another pillar of Roman hip-hop already a member of the Nacapito and Gente de Borgata crews. In business for over twenty years, his career includes numerous collaborations with many prominent personalities of the Italian rap scene, but also various live performances throughout Italy sharing the stages with overseas rappers such as MOP, Psycho Realm, Az, Afu-Ra, Sean Price, Masta Ace and Das Efx. Together with Dj Drugo, he will bring a selection of his latest works such as the single ‘Io so stanco’ or the album ‘Siberia’. Supremo 73, on the other hand, is a veteran of the Capitoline scene already with the name of Gufo X. Since 1994 he has been active in live, studio and collaborations even joining the historic collective Rome Zoo and subsequently founding the Gente de Borgata crew. For the occasion the artist will perform together with Rak of the Barracruda crew, proposing the latest works such as the singles “A good reason” feat. Plaza, ‘Genuine n raw’ feat. Two Click Studio and “Don’t let it beat” produced by Depha Beat. Then Santo Trafficante, also known as Santino, pseudonym of Fabian Santo Caruso is an Italian-German Mc and beatmaker, known for his gangsta rap style. Over time he has achieved a record discography of 37 publications in both Italian and German), as well as collecting dozens of collaborations and featuring with the major national Mc. Style and technique are mixed in research and in the purest realism. Live will also bring the tracks of the latest album released last year entitled ‘Pistole d’oro’. Ck Crew represents the youngest member of the T2R roster. A Hip-Hop / underground duo formed by Mc Crosti Cash and Frodo, who despite their young age, aim straight for old school rap. Last year they released the singles’ Golden Compilation ‘,’ Posti Loschi and ‘Ganja Christmas’ which consolidate their artistic vision towards an essential and out of fashion type of rap, preparing them for the release of the new album which will soon be released by T2r .Project 205 is the new project born from the collaboration between Roman and Neapolitan rappers (205 are, in fact, the kilometers that separate the districts of Tor Bella Monaca and Ponticelli). The musicians who brought this trio to life are Strikky Boy, Haen MC and Valerio Zapata J fresh signing with T2R. Guests from the Do Your Thang crew will be William Pascal and Pacman XII who will share the stage with the T2R artists. During the evening there will also be a station with all the vinyls, cd editions and special editions produced by T2R including Metal Carter, Chef Ragoo, Brutal Philosophy and a selection of merchandise items including all the Metal Carter t-shirts, the new shirts by Chef Ragoo and Suarez and all the official merch of the label.
