Dance, from Brel to Don Giovanni, on stage in Como the Béjart Ballet Lausanne

The Béjart Ballet Lausanne returns to Como, for a double inauguration in the park in front of Villa Olmo. The XIV edition of the Como Città della Musica Festival and the I Edition of the Villa Olmo Festival (30 June – 15 August 2021), Wednesday 30 June 2021, at 9.30 pm, will premiere Pièces Courtes in Italy. These are six cameos dedicated to heroes or characters who in the imagination have assumed mythical and dreamlike features, due to the amount of generated sources and artistic results that have arisen. Almost divinities drawn from epics, eras, literary suggestions (one of all that of Don Giovanni) and different musical contexts (from Johann Sebastian Bach to Jacques Brel), very heterogeneous, the Pièces Courtes have been chiseled by the multifaceted and curious genius of Maurice Béjart (born Maurice-Jean Berger 1927 – 2007) and faithfully reproduced by Gil Roman, dancer, choreographer and artistic director of the company.
