Time is the absolute protagonist, starting with the title, of the comedy ‘Tempo al tempo’ written by Paola Tiziana Cruciani with Antonella Laganà, with the first also director and the second interpreter together with Alessandra Costanzo, Beatrice Fazi and Marta Zoffoli, in staged until January 23 at the Manzoni theater in Rome. There are a Roman and a Neapolitan and there were – or are they too? – a Sicilian and a Romagna … it might seem the beginning of an old joke, but it is the ‘photograph’ of the four protagonists, for an all-female comedy, which takes place on a parallel temporal track but which, like the famous Aldo Moro’s ‘parallel convergences’ in politics, this time they do not meet indefinitely but on a precise day of the year 1974 in which they fall – breaking with a car accident the space-time boundary already crossed by Massimo Troisi and Roberto Benigni in movie ‘We just have to cry’ … – two women from 2021, thinking about a vintage role-playing game before realizing that it’s really all ‘real’. “The two women of today and the two women of the seventies , after an initial bewilderment, they find themselves confronted on the themes of women’s emancipation and women’s liberation – explains the author and director Paola Tiziana Cruciani – What has changed? onfitte? ‘Tempo al tempo’ wants to be a game of dramaturgy, improvisation, schemes; a game of fiction conducted by the characters, which will also be the game of theater conducted by the actresses “.
