‘Next generation culture’, the Civita report is presented on 21 June

On 21 June at 11.00 at the Spadolini Room of the Ministry of Culture and live on Zoom, Facebook and on the Adnkronos homepage, the Civita Association will present its twelfth Report entitled ‘Next generation culture. digital technologies and immersive languages ​​for new cultural audiences’, published by Marsilio Editori and created thanks to the support of Igt. An important opportunity to reflect at a wide range on the digital transformation processes underway in the cultural sector, marked by the crisis of the pandemic period and very much affected by new developments. What innovative and digital strategies for the enhancement and management of assets are necessary to face the phase we are going through? What are the future scenarios? The Report, whose analysis was coordinated by the Study Center of the Civita Association and conducted in collaboration with Icom Italia, intends to answer these questions, providing proposals, but not before having focused on the situation of the last year, observed from the triple point of view of museum institutions, users, and market operators, in particular the technological industries. To support the scenario considerations, which are also fundamental in order to grasp system criticalities as well as the impact of the pandemic on Culture, the Report makes use of a stock of data from sector analyzes. The volume includes surveys on digital consumption during the period of restrictions by Annalisa Cicerchia and Ludovico Solima; Icom’s investigations aimed at museums and their relationship with the digital world, curated by Barbara Landi and Anna Maria Marras; the study of case histories on the digital industry by Alfredo Valeri, which allows you to portray an overview of the Italian entrepreneurial ecosystem of which possible developments are identified starting from expanding technologies; research on the future prospects of Virtual Reality in post Covid Italian museums, on which Claudio Calveri reflects.
